Terms

1. Acceptance
By purchasing, installing, activating, or using RAMA, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Additional checkout or payment terms shown by Lemon Squeezy may apply to the transaction.
2. Purchase and licence
RAMA is offered for AU$24.99 as a one-time purchase with no free trial. Subject to payment and these terms, Pat Carroll grants the individual purchaser a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, perpetual licence to install and use RAMA on no more than two compatible Apple Silicon Macs.
The licence permits lawful personal and commercial audio or music work.
A purchase does not transfer ownership of the RAMA app or permit the licence key to be shared with another person. A business, school, studio, or other organisation that needs use by several people should contact info@pcarroll.au before purchase.
3. Ownership
RAMA is proprietary software. Its original source code, branding, graphics, documentation, Bundled Material recordings, and other original material remain owned by Pat Carroll, subject to the terms that apply to Tauri, IBM Plex Mono, and other third-party components.
4. Your audio and outputs
You retain ownership of audio and other content you use with RAMA. Using RAMA does not give Pat Carroll ownership of your source material, settings, or WAV exports.
You are responsible for having the rights needed to process, perform, export, publish, or otherwise use the material you choose. Subject to those underlying rights, you may use RAMA outputs in personal and commercial work without paying Pat Carroll a royalty.
5. Restrictions
Except where applicable law permits it, you must not copy, modify, distribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, commercially exploit, or reverse engineer the RAMA app or its licence system. You must not share a licence key outside the licensed purchaser’s permitted use, bypass activation controls, or use RAMA unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
6. Activation, offline use, and deactivation
RAMA requires internet access for first activation through Lemon Squeezy. Once activation succeeds, it is permanent on that Mac: there is no expiry, periodic validation, background licence check, app-version binding, or later internet requirement for playback and export.
Use deactivate this Mac before replacing or disposing of a Mac when practical. Deactivation requires deliberate confirmation and a successful Lemon Squeezy response before RAMA removes the local Keychain licence record. A network or server failure retains that record. Deactivation never removes source audio, recent references, .rama projects, preferences, or exports.
Lemon Squeezy may reject a new activation for an invalid, expired, disabled, refunded, reversed, or over-limit purchase. A successfully stored local activation remains permanent unless you deliberately deactivate it or remove its Keychain record. These terms do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Downloads, updates, and compatibility
You are responsible for keeping your purchase receipt and licence key secure. Compatible updates throughout RAMA version 1.x are included. A future version 2 may be offered as a separate paid upgrade. A purchase does not promise every future feature, platform, operating-system version, or major version.
RAMA 1.0 is intended for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 Ventura or later. Check the published requirements before installing an update.
System requirements can change as Apple and third-party components change. Keep a recoverable copy of an installer that is important to your setup where your purchase terms permit it.
8. Creative results and backups
RAMA is a creative effect, not a mastering, restoration, archival, safety-critical, or delivery-verification system. It may not always be uninterrupted, compatible, secure, or error-free. Keep backups of source material and listen to important exports before release or presentation.
To the extent permitted by law, Pat Carroll is not responsible for lost work, unavailable files, damaged exports, or indirect or consequential loss arising from RAMA. This limitation is subject to the consumer-rights section below.
9. Third-party services
Purchases and licence services are provided through Lemon Squeezy. RAMA also uses Tauri, locally bundled IBM Plex Mono, and other third-party components. Third-party services and components are governed by their own terms and policies.
10. Refunds and consumer rights
Refund requests are considered case by case through Lemon Squeezy, subject to the law that applies to the transaction.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
11. Changes and termination
These terms may be updated as RAMA, its licensing, or applicable services change. Revised terms will include a new effective date. Your licence may be terminated for a material breach if the breach is not remedied where the law requires an opportunity to remedy it.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to applicable non-excludable rights and conflict-of-law rules. Questions can be sent to info@pcarroll.au.
